WHO concerned about Gaza patients dying while awaiting treatment

Integrated Regional Information Networks (IRIN--editorially independent, but part of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) reported April 1 on a World Health Ortganization (WHO) report which describing the cases of five patients who died while awaiting an Israeli permit to exit the enclave or after having been denied one. Also documented were the cases of an additional 27 patients unable to receive specialized care outside Gaza. Today's report was on how over half of the 85,000 Bedouin in the Negev desert live in 40-odd villages not recognised by Israel, which leaves them them without access water and other basic services.
